Creating your first hosting package in WHM

Create a hosting package in WHM for your reseller customers: storage, bandwidth, email and database limits, and how to name packages.

2 minute readLast reviewed 16 October 2026

Packages are the plans you sell to your own customers. Each one sets the limits for the accounts created on it, such as storage, email accounts and databases. Create your packages before you create any accounts.

  1. Log in to WHM. You can open it from your client area, or go to yourdomain.co.uk/whm.
  2. Search for Add a Package in WHM’s search box and open it.
  3. Give the package a clear name, such as Starter or Business. Your customers may see it.
  4. Set the Disk Quota, Monthly Bandwidth, and the maximum email accounts, databases, FTP accounts and addon domains.
  5. Click Add.

Planning your packages

  • Make sure the total you sell fits within your reseller plan’s limits. You can sell more than you have (overselling) only if your reseller plan allows it.
  • Start with two or three packages. Fewer choices make it easier for your customers to decide.
  • Leave headroom. A customer who hits a storage limit at a busy time won’t thank you.
