Setting up branded nameservers

Use your own branded nameservers, such as ns1.yourbrand.co.uk, for your reseller customers, by creating glue records at your registrar.

2 minute readLast reviewed 16 October 2026

Branded nameservers, such as ns1.yourbrand.co.uk and ns2.yourbrand.co.uk, let your customers point their domains at you without ever seeing Fusionhost’s name. It’s a key part of white-label hosting.

Step 1: get the IP addresses

Raise a support ticket saying you’d like to set up branded nameservers and which domain you’ll use for them. We’ll send you the IP addresses they need to point to.

Step 2: create glue records

Glue records (also called “child nameservers” or “host records”) tell the internet the IP address of each nameserver.

  1. Log in to the registrar where your brand’s domain is registered. If it’s registered with us, open it in your client area.
  2. Find the option called glue records, child nameservers or register nameservers.
  3. Create ns1.yourbrand.co.uk and ns2.yourbrand.co.uk, each with the IP address we sent you, and save.

Step 3: tell us they’re ready

Reply to your ticket. We’ll check the glue records have been published and set your branded nameservers on your reseller account, so new accounts use them automatically.
