Upgrading or downgrading your plan

Move to a bigger or smaller Fusionhost hosting plan without moving your website, and how the price difference is worked out.

2 minute readLast reviewed 16 October 2026

As your website grows, you can move to a bigger plan, and if you need less, you can move to a smaller one. Your website, email and files stay exactly where they are.

Change your plan

  1. Log in to your client area and open Services.
  2. Choose the hosting service you want to change.
  3. Select Upgrade / Downgrade, choose your new plan and follow the steps.

How the price works

When you upgrade, you pay the difference for the rest of your current billing period, and the new plan’s features are available as soon as payment is made. Your next renewal is at the new plan’s price.

Downgrading?

Check your current usage first. If you use more storage, websites or email accounts than the smaller plan allows, you’ll need to remove some before the change. Your usage is shown in cPanel on the right-hand side.

Outgrown shared hosting?

If you need SSH access, root access or dedicated resources, a cloud server is the next step. We’ll move your website across for free. Raise a support ticket to arrange it.
